CYP19-luc
Overview
Cyp19-luc Xen (Aromatase) (P/N 119282) Breeding Pair or CYP19-luc (aromatase) (P/N 119304) Individual Animal
The light producing animal model (LPTA®) CD-1-Tg(Cyp19-luc)-Xen, commonly called Cyp19-luc carries a 400 bp murine Aromatase promoter (contains ovary specific exon 1 and putative response elements for interaction with aromatase transcription modulators such as GR, PR, PPAR) and modified firefly luciferase cDNA (Promega pGL-3). Aromatase converts testosterone to estrogens in a variety of tissues resulting in locally elevated levels of estrogen. This LPTA® animal model is available from Xenogen Biosciences, Cranbury, New Jersey, USA.| Model: | Drug Metabolism/Toxicity Model |

Applications
The model provides for the study of the transcriptional regulation of the Aromatase gene in breast, uterus, adipose, and a variety of other tissues.
