TPW3 Software Version 1.0, Patch 3 ----------------------------------------------- *** UPDATES INCLUDED IN VERSION 1.0 PATCH 3 *** ----------------------------------------------- Patch 3 - includes Patches 1 and 2 plus the following: - The TPWICP.exe has been changed to V1.0.3.50. This modification allows the Help About window to display the correct version number for this patch. - The TPWUSBAccess.dll has been changed to V1.0.3.50. This modification allows the Robot's Racks and Positions teaching window to correctly list all six racks for teaching and testing purposes. (This patch is provided for both APW and TPW systems just to ensure they both have the same code base, but has an effect only on APW systems, as APW systems are the only ones with six racks.) - The DiagnosticLUOs.dll has been changed to V1.0.3.50. The 'Test Vessel Seal And Cannula Position' diagnostic now turns on the air pump long enough to evacuate the vessel. (This patch is provided for both APW and TPW systems just to ensure they both have the same code base, but has an effect only on TPW systems, as TPW systems are the only ones using the Vessel.) Patch 2 - includes Patch 1 plus the following: The TpwSharedInfo.dll has changed as follows. One variable that is used to determine if there is an active LC injection was being improperly set to the computer's local date/time when the software first started up. This variable's value was supposed to be set to the value of the computer's clock after conversion of the Date/Time to Coordinated Universal Time. This patch makes the conversion prior to setting the initial value for the variable. This will correct behaviors on systems when they are run in the London Daylight Savings Time time zone and all time zones east of London (Standard Time or Daylight Savings Time). If this patch is not installed, the observable behaviors are: - Run Lists that include HPLC injections may have an unexplained delay prior to making the first injection. - Run Lists that do not include HPLC injecions may have an unexplained delay between the last method completing and declaration that the run list has ended. Patch 1 - The Balance.dll has changed as follows: When requesting a stable weight from the 3-place balance, the system delays for 4 seconds prior to requesting the stable weight from the 3-place balance. This corrects a behavior observed where the Sartorius 3-place balance starts to drift when the balance cover is closed, but it takes a few seconds of drift for the balance to determine that it is in an unstable state. Requesting the stable weight during this transition period caused the Sartorius to return a value that was declared to be stable even though it was not. Addition of the 4 second delay provides enough delay so that the Sartorius engine recognizes it is drifting and does not return the weight value until it is once again stable. If this patch is not installed, small errors (10 to 30 mg) may be observed for stable weights obtained from the 3-place balance in the TPW sidecar. This will be most noticeable when performing the TPWSidecar Test 3-place balance diagnostic. ------------ REQUIREMENTS ------------ *** PRODUCT SOFTWARE *** TPW3 software Version 1.0 must be installed prior to installing patch 3.
